全国金属制品信息网是全国冶金专业信息网的组成部分，中国钢铁工业协会工作体系的一部分。本网主要是由冶金、石油、煤炭、机械、轻工、渔业、林业、等系统多种经济成分的金属制品企业为主要成员的信息交流网络。1974年建网迄今已形成完整的信息网络及组织机构，现有网员单位300多家。
